About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting with the installation and operation of a remote TV camera system to capture video inside storm sewer pipes and other stormwater infrastructure-related services. Collects Stormwater and surface water samples and performs various analytical tests. Assists in setting up cable stands over manholes. Assists in positioning the camera in the sewer line and turning cable stand handles that enable the camera to move inside the pipe. Drives a pickup truck to haul crew and equipment. Occasionally services, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to camera, equipment, and attachments. Assists in inspection of stormwater BMPs, infrastructure, and Highly Visible Pollutant Sources HVPS. Participates in creek walks. Carries out a continuous effort to improve operations and work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for electronic systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of writing routine reports, correspondence and record keeping.
  • Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Skill in problem solving and decision-making.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge and level of competency, critical thinking, and problem-solving commonly associated with mastery of basic skills typically associated with a high school education or further degree.
  • Possession of, or the ability to readily obtain, a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
