About The Position
The Town of Prescott Valley is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Stormwater Technician to join their Public Works team. This hands-on role involves constructing, maintaining, and repairing streets, drainageways, culverts, ditches, rights-of-way, and other public infrastructure. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, teamwork, operating equipment, field problem-solving, and seeing the tangible results of their labor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of entry-level construction experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must complete 10 Hour OSHA Certification by timeframe designated by the Town
- Must be able to obtain Basic Flaggers Certification by timeframe designated by the Town
- Must obtain a CDL by timeframe designated by the Town
- Must obtain/maintain Level 1 Stormwater Management Certification
- Must obtain/maintain ATSSA Work Zone Traffic Control Tech Certification by timeframe designated by the Town
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
- Follow safety procedures and traffic-control requirements
- Respond to storm events, flooding, snow removal, roadway hazards, and other emergencies, including after-hours and on-call assignments
- Work as part of a small, high-performing team committed to the community
