About The Position

As a Lead Stores Clerk, you will receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products for the company.

Requirements

  • Must meet ITAR export control compliance requirements.
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Responsibilities

  • Daily scheduling and organizing work departments
  • Provide direction and scheduling to production team members in their daily activities
  • Assigning work and giving directions
  • Monitor work progress
  • Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management (to include management on other shifts), as well as with needs, priorities, and issues
  • Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and, ultimately, external customers
  • Investigate and fix problems on the production floor
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating the root cause of scrap and RMA issues. Work with the team and quality department to prevent recurrence
  • Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures
  • Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment
  • Develop employees’ continuous improvement abilities
  • Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden. Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
  • Ensure each employee meets company goals and objectives and provides constructive feedback
  • Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Fills and/or creates requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code; marking materials with identifying information and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
  • Assembles customer orders from stock, places them on pallets or shelves, or conveys them to the packing station or shipping department
  • Ensures parts are pulled, kitted, and ready in advance of actual production needs
  • Maintains inventory records, records amounts of materials or items received or distributed, and keeps the database system in real-time
