About the role Reports to: Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations About This Role: Storehouseman Belleville As a Storehouseman at Ameren, you will be responsible for the physical execution of day-to-day and emergent storeroom activities. This dynamic role supports both routine maintenance and critical utility emergency restoration environments by maintaining an adequate inventory posture. You will execute a variety of warehousing functions, including careful tracking of high-value inventory, order management, and the ongoing modernization of our storeroom. Safely operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Powered Industrial Forklift is a core requirement of this position.

Requirements

  • Continuous bending, reaching, and lifting of heavy material up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work comfortably at heights ranging up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to utilize facility technology, including computers, tablets, printers, and handheld RF scanners.
  • Strict adherence to all organizational safety policies, compliance guidelines, and procedures.
  • Must possess valid Class D Drivers license at minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments of material while verifying piece counts against delivery slips and auditing items for damage or shortages.
  • Securely pack, palletize, and ship outgoing materials
  • Conduct inventories and process orders as required / requested.
  • Maintain strict oversight of material stock levels through replenishment and cycle counts on a daily or annual basis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and spatial organization workflows to maximize warehouse efficiency and safety footprint.
  • Safely operate all MHE to complete daily workload each day.
  • Maintain a clean, highly organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment in strict accordance with OSHA regulations and Ameren safety policies.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or respond to callouts during urgent utility restoration or storm environments.
  • Work at other locations when requested utilizing company pickup truck.
  • Partner closely with crews and supervisors to accurately identify, locate, and issue critical materials needed for daily work orders and field operations.
  • Communicate emergent needs and place orders as requested.
  • Attend required meetings and maintain housekeeping in accordance with 5S.
