The Storeroom Technician will promote a safe stores work environment and proactively contribute to the department’s safety and housekeeping program. This role involves participating in morning crew safety meetings, manually receiving all material to the main Storeroom, and entering receipts into SAP daily. The technician will place stock material into correct bin locations, process delivery tickets, and pull stock material to support maintenance and mill operations. There is a shared responsibility for maintaining stored items in good condition. The role includes picking up and/or delivering materials to area drop zones within the Mill, operating a forklift or delivery cart, and researching material receipts when discrepancies occur or in the absence of vendor paperwork. Conducting inventory counts and processing outgoing freight with Parcel and/or LTL carriers are also key functions. The position requires obtaining job family certifications on SAP and Storeroom policy and procedures. The technician must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment and may be required to work extended hours, including afterhours/weekend duty during annual maintenance shutdowns and upon short notice. Quality expectations include understanding quality policy, supporting efforts for a positive customer experience, and aiding in mill-wide quality efforts.
