About The Position

As a Storeroom Supervisor at our Kansas City, KS plant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring maintenance and production teams have the right parts at the right time to keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong transformational leadership skills with creative problem solving in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Your work will directly support plant reliability, cost control, and overall operational performance. You’ll join a collaborative, safety‑focused plant team that values humility, learning, and accountability for results. Partnering closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, QA/Food Safety, and Finance, you’ll help drive continuous improvement across storeroom and inventory processes. This is an on‑site role based at our Kansas City manufacturing facility with daily visibility and impact on plant operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field preferred, with hands‑on experience supporting maintenance, storeroom, or inventory operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using SAP or other maintenance planning or inventory management systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRO, maintenance, inventory, and reliability processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, train, and achieve results through others.
  • Experience managing inventory budgets, purchasing processes, and vendor interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective MRO spare parts and inventory system within budgetary constraints using SAP and related tools to support production continuity, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Coordinate physical inventories, identify obsolete or excess materials, resolve variances, and initiate corrective actions to ensure accurate inventory records and cost control.
  • Release parts and supplies, approve invoices, manage GR/IR and blocked invoice reconciliation, provide daily departmental cost reporting and maintain required documentation in alignment with company policies and authorization limits.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, QA/Food Safety, and the Plant Controller to support purchasing processes, reporting accuracy, and policy compliance as well as maintaining daily interactions with vendors.
  • Manage Storeroom Associates while promoting people safety, food safety, KPI achievement, CI, and 5S standards.
