About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving incoming materials and parts, verifying quantities, and stocking them in the storeroom. The coordinator will maintain inventory records, manage inventory control and transactions, and implement a system for updating and replacing inventories. They will also issue replacement requisitions for special items and ensure the proper flow of paperwork and information between the storeroom, accounts payable, and receiving. The position requires high data entry accuracy, detailed recordkeeping, and organization of files. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain good housekeeping of the storeroom, rebuild racks and receiving carts, and ensure repair parts are prepped and shipped to vendors in a timely manner. They will maintain high inventory accuracy through inventory control system software and audit processes, perform cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory counts, and manage obsolescence parts. The role involves negotiating with vendors on pricing, issuing purchase orders, and performing ordering of MRO, non-MRO, stock, and non-stock parts using various systems. Completing new part setups in SAP and PO audits are also key responsibilities. The coordinator will support plant GME efforts by engaging in TRACC initiatives and may perform team coordination activities related to safety, quality, or production scheduling. Accurate completion of all required paperwork, training, and assignments in a timely manner, along with other assigned tasks, is expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand instructions, work procedures, reason and make judgments, problem solve, plan, coordinate, execute, and direct own work while coping with a variety of duties and expectations.
  • Ability to work with a few specified deadlines and expectations related to the maintenance program.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and distinctly (oral or written) with peers and Managers.
  • Ability to interact in a consultative manner with co-workers, engineers, and electrical technicians.
  • Good mathematical aptitude is required to make accurate numerical measurements, calculate dimensions, and develop a required materials list from blueprints and specifications, to estimate cost of raw materials, and determine the quantity of sizes or parts needed for each segment of the project.
  • Excellent learning ability to understand and interpret instructions and detailed work procedures, reason and make judgments related to these procedures, plan, coordinate and direct own work while coping with a variety of duties and expectations from co-workers, PTL’s, and engineers.
  • Verbal aptitude is required to ask pertinent questions of engineers, mechanics, electricians, or line workers, and to read and interpret technical manuals, charts, and parts manuals to plan work procedures and select replacement parts.
  • Ability to perform effectively under stressful conditions, prioritizing job duties delegated from manager, operating departments, and Maintenance.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of fractional / decimal dimensions and tolerances.
  • Demonstrate experience with MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately read packing slips and invoices to complete goods and services receipts
  • Stock incoming material and parts, maintain operations within the storeroom.
  • Proper receiving and tracking of both MRO, non-MRO, stock and non-stock parts in SAP.
  • Tending storeroom for MRO parts needs such as Planned & Emergency WO’s.
  • Tending storeroom for non-MRO parts needs – sundry items.
  • Assist plant with plant supply & tool vending machines when issues arise.
  • Support Maintenance Planners in executing their work processes.
  • Kit parts for planned work orders.
  • Review the effectiveness of parts kitting with maintenance team and update as needed.
  • Provide written and verbal communication to vendors and internal customers.
  • Escalate all unresolved issues to Storeroom Lead and Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper flow of paperwork and information between storeroom, accounts payable and receiving.
  • Perform high data entry accuracy including detailed recordkeeping and organization of files.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of the storeroom, rebuild rack(s) and receiving carts.
  • Ensure repair parts are prepped and shipped to vendors in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through our inventory control system software and audit processes.
  • Perform Cycle counts and Wall-to Wall inventory counts.
  • Manage obsolescence parts by removing from plant and updating SAP as needed.
  • Proactively address out of stock parts
  • Negotiate with vendors on pricing and issue purchase orders to maintain storeroom stock.
  • Perform ordering of MRO, non-MRO, stock and non-stock parts using MyBuy, SAP, or other system.
  • Complete new part set ups in SAP.
  • Complete PO Audits to address issues (i.e., overdue, incorrect invoices, missing receipts, etc.) to ensure timely delivery and payments.
  • Support the plant GME efforts by engaging in TRACC initiatives.
  • May be required to perform team coordination activities related to team safety, quality, production scheduling or other core business functions.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, training and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by manager.
