This role is responsible for receiving incoming materials and parts, verifying quantities, and stocking them in the storeroom. The coordinator will maintain inventory records, manage inventory control and transactions, and implement a system for updating and replacing inventories. They will also issue replacement requisitions for special items and ensure the proper flow of paperwork and information between the storeroom, accounts payable, and receiving. The position requires high data entry accuracy, detailed recordkeeping, and organization of files. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain good housekeeping of the storeroom, rebuild racks and receiving carts, and ensure repair parts are prepped and shipped to vendors in a timely manner. They will maintain high inventory accuracy through inventory control system software and audit processes, perform cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory counts, and manage obsolescence parts. The role involves negotiating with vendors on pricing, issuing purchase orders, and performing ordering of MRO, non-MRO, stock, and non-stock parts using various systems. Completing new part setups in SAP and PO audits are also key responsibilities. The coordinator will support plant GME efforts by engaging in TRACC initiatives and may perform team coordination activities related to safety, quality, or production scheduling. Accurate completion of all required paperwork, training, and assignments in a timely manner, along with other assigned tasks, is expected.
