This role involves receiving incoming material and parts, verifying quantities, and stocking them in the storeroom. The coordinator will maintain records of inventory, control inventory, and manage transactions. A system to update and replace inventories will be maintained, and requisitions for special items will be issued. The role supports the Maintenance Planners in executing their work processes by kitting parts for planned work orders and reviewing the effectiveness of parts kitting with the maintenance team. Communication with vendors and internal customers, as well as ensuring the proper flow of paperwork between storeroom, accounts payable, and receiving, are key responsibilities. High data entry accuracy, recordkeeping, and organization of files are essential. The coordinator will also maintain storeroom housekeeping, rebuild racks, and prepare repair parts for shipment to vendors. Maintaining high inventory accuracy through inventory control system software and audit processes, performing cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory counts, and managing obsolescence parts are also part of the role. Negotiating with vendors on pricing, issuing purchase orders, and performing ordering of various parts using designated systems are required. Completing new part setups in SAP and PO audits are also part of the responsibilities. The role may involve team coordination activities related to safety, quality, production scheduling, or other core business functions. All required paperwork, training, and assignments must be completed accurately and in a timely manner. Other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager will also be performed.
