Job Summary The Storeroom Clerk is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the Storeroom and effective management of Storeroom inventory. This position manages the storeroom and is accountable for storeroom inventory management for the entire operation. This includes setting up new items in the storeroom, working with other locations to share common spare parts, ensuring cycle counts are completed routinely, withdrawals and re-ordering are done promptly, and invoices are paid promptly.

Requirements

  • Good communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to read prints or drawings
  • Knowledge of reading tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
  • Knowledgeable of various tools and materials utilized by operations and maintenance
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Possesses knowledge of technical information on the unit/area.
  • Demonstrates background knowledge of operating procedures.

  • SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives, disburses, and requisitions the storeroom and other incoming material
  • Maintains inventory/records.
  • Responsible for complying with the company's storeroom procedures.
  • Responsible for writing purchase requisitions for storeroom material and supplies when inventory quantities are reduced below requirements.
  • Set up new spare parts by obtaining information and reviewing drawings from operating and maintenance personnel regarding new equipment.
  • Responsible for follow-up with suppliers to ensure delivery of parts stock.
  • Assists maintenance employees, operators, and production supervisors in retrieving parts needed for facility repairs.
  • Performs parts inventory cycle counts.
  • Responsible for the kitting of work order parts to allow for more efficient completion of work orders.
  • Accountable for maintaining high standards in housekeeping in the storeroom.
  • Responsible for maintaining the storeroom security system.
  • Assist with optimizing Storeroom parts storage to reduce the labor required to obtain materials and maximize indoor storage utilization.
  • Accountable and responsible for continuous improvement in workplace safety in the storeroom areas.
  • Maintains SOPs and procedures to reflect improvements and routine operations.
  • Enter work orders or notifications in SAP as necessary.
