About The Position

As an integral part of the team, it is a responsibility to continuously look for ways to improve each guest’s experience by providing exceptional service in the efficient operations of the Storeroom. The Storeroom Attendant will maintain, receive, store and issue the storeroom inventory, ensuring that all requisitions are completed accurately and on time. They will also receive and issue all direct deliveries to various departments within the hotel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
  • Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
  • Must have some computer skills, in the form of simple data inputting
  • Ability to exert physical effort in lifting and transporting up to 60 pounds.
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Ability to stand/walk continuously for up to 6 hours throughout work shift.
  • Be able to maintain a stationary position for up to 2 hours throughout work shift.

Responsibilities

  • Be present to greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests and vendors.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas at all times.
  • Anticipate departments’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive relations at all times.
  • Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor.
  • Open Storeroom and maintain security at all times
  • Assist Storeroom Manager, Purchasing Personnel, and Cost Controller.
  • Organize and review purchase orders and outlet requisitions.
  • Record all deliveries received.
  • Handle delivery discrepancies and the return of goods.
  • Write credit requests and goods received without invoices
  • Complete daily market list.
  • Conduct monthly inventories.
  • Complete a weekly product expiration report.
  • Follow partial shipment procedure if applicable.
  • Maintain proper inventory stock status and report if there are any discrepancies.
  • Complete assigned daily tasks.
  • Report to Storeroom Manager or Purchasing Office to see if additional tasks are needed.
  • Secure storeroom at end of day.
  • Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned.
