This role involves receiving and staging merchandise, marking items for placement, and delivering them to appropriate departments. The Storekeeper will stack received merchandise, complete inventory and supply requisitions, and monitor low stock levels. Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and inspecting deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality. Damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items will be refused. Adherence to food safety and handling policies is crucial, along with organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. The role also includes removing waste materials like empty pallets, cardboard, and trash. Safety is paramount, requiring reporting of accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, as well as completing safety training. Adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and protecting company assets are expected. Effective communication with guests and co-workers using clear and professional language is necessary. Developing positive working relationships and supporting team goals are key. The Storekeeper must comply with quality assurance standards, read and verify information in various formats, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as grasping, turning, and manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The role may involve moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs and service ramps. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors may be assigned.
