This is a TEMPORARY position; it will last approximately 6 months or more. The Storekeeper/Warehouse role involves reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Responsibilities include recording the amount of materials or items received or distributed, completing internal forms and documents or reports, and verifying the correctness of received material against bill of lading invoices and checking for damaged parts. The role also includes opening bales, crates, and other containers, marking materials with identifying information, and sorting and placing materials or items in proper locations according to a predetermined sequence. Assembling customer orders from stock, placing orders on pallets, shelves, or directly onto company/customer trucks, and relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department are key tasks. Additionally, the role involves pulling parts for production shops, performing counts, reading Pick Tickets to determine parts to be pulled for assembly, checking, weighing, and packing products to confirm to work orders, and finishing the process by wrapping or creating loads for shipment. Data input into the computer system via scanner, performing stock transfers and inventory counts, processing vendor returns, and inspecting incoming parts following QMS procedure and documenting all results are also part of the duties. The role includes processing daily mail, completing pick-ups and deliveries, and being responsible for the proper care and maintenance of company equipment assigned to the warehouse area. Ensuring the protection of company property and all other assets, maintaining clean, accessible, and safe warehouse areas, and complying with company health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as U.S. export control and security regulations, are essential.
