Requirements

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school.
Requires one (1) year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
Requires ability to pass a background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
Requires appropriate, valid drivers license.
This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest.
Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Storekeeper III, processes a variety of general, industrial, mechanical, or office supply items.
Assembles, packs, transports, or arranges for transporting of requisitioned goods or materials to facility staff.
Estimates stock needs and notifies Storekeeper III of stock replacement as required.
Oversees General Store operations in the absence of the Storekeeper III.
Maintains a clean and efficient environment within the General Stores area.
Inspect received shipments for damages, expiration dates, accurate items, and quantity.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably with the scope of the duties enumerated above.
