About The Position

The Store Warehouse Associate is an entry-level, hourly position responsible for distributing merchandise to customers. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager. The primary duties involve verifying merchandise against invoices, professionally handing merchandise to customers, and loading and securing customer merchandise in their vehicles. Additionally, team members are responsible for identifying and reporting potential security risks and performing other duties as assigned throughout their shift.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum of two years prior experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to read English (or another language as may be required for one specific location) sufficiently to read invoices, repair orders, faxed requests, and similar written materials.
  • Basic English language writing skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, necessary to verify quantity of merchandise being pulled or being returned to stock.
  • Ability to grasp and lift or otherwise move goods weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted or up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a seven and one-half hour shift, with two fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour meal break.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in a language other than English may be preferred in specific locations where that language is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute merchandise by verifying it against the pink invoice and handing it to the customer.
  • Load and secure customer merchandise in their vehicles, ensuring it is safely tied in.
  • Obtain customer signature on the invoice copy acknowledging receipt of merchandise and return the signed copy to the pickup counter.
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks involving customers and coworkers, and promptly communicate potential problems to management or security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned during the entire shift.
