About The Position
Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Store Sorter for its retail team at the Austintown, Ohio location. The role helps ensure the store is stocked with quality merchandise for customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable of performing the duties, dependable, and committed to regular attendance. The position is part-time, with flexible hours based on store needs and the possibility of full-time work in the future. The store operates seven days a week, and employees must be available to work weekends and evenings as scheduled. Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries welcomes applicants facing barriers to employment and provides training and support. A background check is required to determine compatibility with a retail environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependability and commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.

- No criminal background that would be incompatible with a retail environment; a background check is required.

Responsibilities
- Sort, inspect, and organize donated merchandise for display on the sales floor.
- Ensure items meet Goodwill’s quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
