About The Position

As a Softlines Manager, you will lead the Apparel and Footwear areas with a strong balance of people leadership and operational execution. Each day, you will translate sales trends, merchandise strategies, and operational priorities into clear plans that drive results on the sales floor. Your focus on standards, presentation, and execution will help create an engaging shopping experience that keeps customers coming back. You will own department performance by developing talent, managing labor, and ensuring visual and merchandising excellence. Through consistent coaching, floor presence, and data‑driven decision making, you will elevate both individual and team performance. You will also partner with store leadership to execute company initiatives, ensure compliance, and continuously improve how the business operates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership or management experience required
  • Demonstrated success leading departments of up to 40 team members while driving operational excellence and achieving sales targets
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold others accountable
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional shopping experience
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to analyze metrics, trends, and operational results
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, payroll, and retail systems
  • Ability to complete required certifications, including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck
  • A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed

  • Manage and audit firearm sales, ensuring all transactions meet federal and state requirements through accurate completion of ATF Form 4473, background check verification, and final approval.
