Store Senior Dispatcher

About The Position

Dispatches and plans local deliveries to wholesale customers in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinates deliveries to all wholesale customers while providing leadership and direction to a team of delivery drivers. Serves as the link between assigned accounts, the store, and the drivers to ensure maximum service and high-performance standards. Performance is measured by customer satisfaction and deliveries completed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
1–2 years of prior experience in the retail automotive service industry, preferably in an automotive parts department, dealership, jobber, or retail establishment.
Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced setting; be competitive while remaining calm under pressure.
Proactive attitude with strong communication and leadership skills.
Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
High sense of urgency and customer orientation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and time-sensitive issues.
Functional literacy and ability to understand and recognize part numbers and line codes to ensure proper selection and delivery of parts, including accurately and rapidly identifying sequences of numbers and letters.
Ability to stand and walk during the assigned work shift.
Ability to lift and move parts and boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assign drivers to make deliveries based on products, customer locations, and time of day.
Track drivers’ progress along their routes.
Balance and adjust workloads, break times, and customer needs when assigning drivers.
Check drivers’ in and out times and transfer these records into company files for analysis and efficiency improvements.
Receive and resolve customer requests or complaints.
Act as a driver when needed during peak delivery times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
