About The Position

The Store POS Coordinator at PAY-LESS is responsible for managing and optimizing the Point of Sale (POS) systems within our retail environment. This role ensures that all POS systems are functioning efficiently to support smooth and effective customer transactions, thereby enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail operations, preferably with experience handling point-of-sale systems.
  • Proven track record of managing store operations and coordinating POS systems in a retail environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to POS systems.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems and retail operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in using computer software and applications relevant to POS systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with store staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in business, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the POS systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the POS systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to implement updates and upgrades to the POS systems as needed.
  • Train store staff on the proper use and functionalities of the POS systems to ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing.
  • Monitor and analyze POS system performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to POS operations and data security.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new POS systems during store openings or renovations.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for maintenance and support of POS hardware and software.
  • Maintain an inventory of all POS equipment and ensure that all hardware is in good working condition.
  • Provide exceptional support to store management and staff to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
