About The Position

General at Teenage Engineering, we build products for people who love sound, music, and design. We are now looking for a collaborative and resourceful Store Operator to join our team in New York City. In this role, you will work alongside our Store Manager and a small, dedicated team of operators to run our NYC space from Wednesday to Sunday. Your work will be active and hands-on, acting as the face of the brand. Together with the team, you will create an environment where customers can explore our gear, while actively engaging with our local community of mentors, artists, and creators. To thrive in this position, you need a strong collaborative spirit, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine appreciation for music technology.

Requirements

• Based in New York
• Available to work shifts across Wednesday through Sunday
• 2-3 years of experience in premium retail, a showroom, gallery, or experiential space
• A deep understanding of Teenage Engineering as a brand and our product portfolio
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with industry professionals, mentors, and artists

Nice To Haves

• Experience using or troubleshooting Teenage Engineering products
• Established connections within the local NYC music or design community

Responsibilities

• Running the daily operations of the NYC store collaboratively within a small team (covering Wednesday to Sunday)
• Engaging with our network of mentors, artists, and creators during store visits and collaborations
• Providing a high-end, educational, and hands-on product experience for all visitors
• Keeping all gear and demo units fully operational, updated, nicely presented
• Handling daily logistics, inventory tracking, and operational tasks
• Supporting in-store workshops and events
