About The Position

The Store Merchandising Representative is a customer-facing, part-time role with a fixed schedule. After initial training, the representative works mostly independently to keep Hillman displays clean and stocked while providing customer service. The position involves merchandising, stocking, key cutting, maintaining key machines, assisting and training store associates and customers, and completing related store tasks. Duties may change as needed, with or without notice.

Requirements

Desire to serve others.
Enjoyment of working independently and handling a variety of work.
Own transportation.
Experience reading and setting planograms.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to occasionally ascend and descend ladders.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, twist, climb, kneel, see, and otherwise move as needed to perform essential functions.
Ability to stand for more than five hours on concrete floors and position oneself to move according to directions.
Ability to withstand extreme temperatures and hot, cold, wet, or other weather conditions.
Understanding and patience, with flexibility to take on duties that may change as needed.

Responsibilities

Follow the client’s company policies and procedures as directed.
Create and maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with procedures.
Cut keys to customers’ specifications.
Stock products and report out-of-stocks.
Demonstrate Hillman products and train associates and customers on them.
Guide customers on the benefits and features of the Minute Key machine, including auto keys.
Cross-merchandise Hillman products and replace missing or worn labels, point-of-purchase materials, and racks.
Attend promotional in-store events.
Perform physical work to tear down or assemble store displays, racks, and fixtures.
Complete surveys as directed.
Maintain key machines.
Help train store personnel in key-related activities.
Keep a daily log as instructed by the store manager.
