About The Position

This is a 24/7 business industry where Managers are in full responsibility of the store. The Store Manager supervises daily operations and all product preparation, ensuring customer service and cleanliness standards are maintained. They are responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, and managing all employees, including performance reviews, motivation, recognition, discipline, and wage administration. The role involves ensuring the proper handling of all transactions and merchandise, maintaining inventory and pricing controls, and ensuring the location's maintenance and appearance meet company standards. This is a very physical job that requires lifting, moving, walking, and standing daily. The Store Manager also ensures the effective merchandising through display, pricing, promotion, and service, and maintains company standards of restaurant safety and security. The manager is accountable for sales volume, margin, and profit goals, controlling cash, merchandise, and company assets, and achieving and maintaining service and image standards.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with convenience store with proven track record.
  • High School diploma.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Available for training.
  • Knowledge or can learn business related software.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and successful retail management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Count and deposit money on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
  • Be on site whenever needed to run the store.
  • Be available by company issued cellular phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency and informational requirements.
  • Acquire tasks that may require attention regardless of job specificity.
  • Supervise daily operations and all product preparation.
  • Ensure customer service and cleanliness standards are maintained for their store.
  • Interview and select candidates for retail positions.
  • Screen, interview, select, and ensure training, including benefits of all employees.
  • Assure training in all areas of operation.
  • Counsel, discipline as necessary and dismiss retail outlet personnel within approved employee policy guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the entire employee group.
  • Assure fast, friendly, convenient and courteous customer service.
  • Train and implement marketing programs and policies.
  • Provide timely performance reviews, motivation, recognition, discipline and wage administration.
  • Assure proper handling of cash, checks, credit cards, coupons, lottery, western union, and all merchandises.
  • Assure adequate inventory, price controls and implementation of approved motor fuels pricing direction.
  • Assure entire location maintenance and appearance continually meet image standards and expectations.
  • Clean the site and perform basic maintenance daily.
  • Assure regular checks and proper maintenance of security system where applicable.
  • Recommend enhancements to security systems.
  • Assure effective merchandising through display, pricing promotion and service.
  • Make timely and accurate merchandise price markdowns within policy guidelines and authority delegations.
  • Recommend merchandising strategies.
  • Maintain company standards of restaurant safety and security.
  • Fulfill any other requirement that the Territory Manager and needs of the business require.
