About The Position

Guitar Center’s Store Manager leads and manages all aspects of the retail business, providing leadership and vision to help the team achieve desired results. The role oversees the delivery of products, services, and store functions while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Successful managers demonstrate business and financial acumen, customer focus, organization, and the ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees. The position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on company performance; the posting does not guarantee a specific amount of compensation.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience operating or managing in similar environments.
At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience leading teams.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Understanding of retail systems and processes.

Responsibilities

Achieve revenue and EBITDA targets while managing the store’s profit and loss.
Recruit, interview, and hire managers and associates.
Train, mentor, and develop staff.
Use the internal recruitment system, attend hiring events, and build a pipeline for associate-level roles.
Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage through scheduling aligned with forecasted sales.
Develop strategies to maintain positive customer satisfaction scores.
Maintain company and store merchandising standards and oversee efforts to provide an organized, clean, and enjoyable in-store experience.
Maintain and foster an inclusive environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
