About The Position

Goodmiles Running Company in Brookfield is looking for a full-time Store Manager to lead their team, grow the business, and create an exceptional experience for every customer. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced retail manager who enjoys developing people, driving sales, and being part of the action. The Store Manager will lead a small team of Fit Experts, work directly with customers on the sales floor, oversee the day-to-day operation of the store, and help Goodmiles build strong connections throughout the local running and fitness community. While expertise in running or footwear is not required, a strong understanding of retail and a passion for leading people are essential.

Requirements

2+ years of retail management experience
2+ years of full-service retail experience
Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees
Experience working toward sales goals and performance expectations
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Organization, dependability, and follow-through
A customer-first approach to sales and service
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods

Nice To Haves

Experience in footwear, apparel, sporting goods, fitness, or specialty retail

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of approximately 4-6 Fit Experts, fostering an environment of clear expectations, meaningful coaching, and motivation.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members.
Coach employees in sales, customer service, product knowledge, and shoe fitting.
Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback to the team.
Keep the team motivated around individual and store goals.
Recognize great performance and support employee growth.
Build schedules that support both the team and business needs.
Lead by example on the sales floor, assisting customers with personalized shoe fittings and recommending footwear, insoles, apparel, and accessories.
Coach the team on sales goals, conversion, and customer experience.
Monitor store and individual sales performance.
Oversee employee scheduling and store coverage.
Manage opening and closing procedures, POS and cash-handling processes.
Handle merchandising, store presentation, and inventory organization.
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-run store.
Communicate and partner with the corporate team.
Represent Goodmiles at local races, group runs, expos, and community events.
Build relationships with local gyms, clubs, wellness organizations, and other partners.
