Store Managers spend the vast majority of their time on managerial work. They lead and manage a team, hold the team accountable for delivering a great customer experience and achieving desired results, ensure the store and team are ready to deliver customer brand promises, and plan and communicate workload activities and KPIs so the team executes appropriately within budget. Minimal, if any, time is expected to be spent on non-managerial tasks such as cashiering, setting planograms, and stocking shelves. The Store Manager oversees store operations, team performance, sales and profit plans, customer experience, shrink and safety programs, staffing, and compliance with company policies, procedures, laws, and requirements. The role also serves as Manager on Duty and maintains operational understanding of all store departments, including cross-training managers in custom framing sales and production.
