About The Position

Margaux is seeking an exemplary store manager to join our team opening a new store at Marin Country Mart. The manager will work closely with the Margaux HQ team to ensure the successful launch of the new location and subsequently will be responsible for all aspects of managing the store. These responsibilities include overseeing the front- and back-end daily operations, managing the store associates, and working directly with our customers to create a memorable, personalized shopping experience through exemplary customer service and a passion for the Margaux brand. This location will initially operate as a one-year pop-up, offering a unique opportunity to introduce and grow the Margaux brand within the Marin community. The Store Manager will play a critical role in establishing the store as a destination, building local relationships, and driving awareness throughout the duration of the pop-up. The store opening is scheduled for August 14th; however, the manager will have an immediate start date and will be an essential team member ahead of the opening, facilitating the seamless launch of the new store. This position offers a unique opportunity to join Margaux at an exciting stage of growth and offers the candidate an opportunity for leadership development during the brand’s retail expansion.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for the Margaux brand.
  • Experience in contemporary or luxury retail; previous experience as a key holder or in a similar leadership role at a contemporary or luxury brand is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record in cultivating meaningful client relationships is essential.
  • Possesses an established client book or the ability to quickly develop one, showcasing a strong network of clients and an aptitude for personalized client outreach and retention.
  • Has a friendly and energetic personality; exhibits professionalism in all situations and is collaborative and people-focused, excelling in team environments and interpersonal interactions.
  • Quick and efficient problem-solver with a strong understanding of business operations, and outstanding organizational and communication abilities with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an outstanding and personalized client experience by leading with exceptional service on the sales floor, greeting customers promptly and engagingly, offering expert styling advice, and showcasing comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Contribute to business growth and achieve sales goals by proactively understanding and responding to customer needs, and promptly addressing any customer concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain the selling floor in alignment with brand standards; ensure visual merchandising is consistently updated and assist in the implementation and management of in-store inventory strategy.
  • Work closely with the retail team at HQ to identify opportunities to maximize store experience and implement strategies to drive business growth.
  • Oversee all in-store events and activations.
  • Act as a brand ambassador within the Marin community by participating in local events, cultivating relationships with neighboring businesses, and supporting community-focused activations.
  • Supervise and facilitate the development of Store Associates.
