About The Position

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of retail store operations, ensuring compliance with California cannabis regulations while driving sales performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role leads and develops store teams to deliver exceptional customer experience, maintain accurate inventory and cash controls, and uphold company standards. The Store Manager plays a critical leadership role in fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compliance. The position requires strong operational acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to balance sales objectives with adherence to regulatory and company requirements.

  • At least 2 years of Store Manager experience and Inventory Management with knowledge of cannabis industry and cannabis knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of METRC system.
  • Knowledge of Cannabis POS systems, such as Dutchie.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, trains, and develops store staff to meet performance goals, ensure compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversees all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and state and local cannabis regulations.
  • Manages and optimizes store sales, implementing strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Maintains compliance with DCC regulations, ensuring all transactions, reporting, and operational procedures meet state requirements.
  • Oversees inventory control, including product intake, reconciliation, audits, and merchandising.
  • Partners with Purchasing teams to ensure accurate ordering, product availability, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Verifies invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial reporting and cash handling practices.
  • Supervises delivery operations (where applicable), ensuring route optimization, vehicle safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Retail Leadership to execute promotions, loyalty programs, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Monitors sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and security protocols within the retail environment.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers, vendors, and local community partners.
  • Supports and/or manages multiple store locations as assigned, ensuring consistency in operations and performance standards.
  • Executes ad hoc projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
