About The Position

Sea Bags, the original maker of one-of-a-kind totes, handbags, and accessories crafted in the USA from recycled sailboat sails, is looking for a Full-Time Seasonal Store Manager to join our team in our beautiful, new Westport store. If you’re a natural leader with a passion for sustainability, love connecting with both locals and visitors, and enjoy sharing unique stories, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We’re looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, and thrives in a small store environment.

Requirements

A customer-focused mindset with a passion for engaging with people.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to learn and articulate company history and product details.
Comfort using a point-of-sale system and iPad.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
A team player with a can-do attitude who’s willing to jump in and support as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including occasional longer shifts based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a customer-facing role preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service while sharing the Sea Bags brand story.
Engage customers with product knowledge and recommendations.
Direct and support daily store operations, including sales transactions and merchandising.
Work collaboratively to create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience.
Lead and support the team in achieving sales goals while maintaining Sea Bags brand standards.
Oversee merchandising, inventory, and store presentation to ensure the location is organized, well-stocked, and on brand.
Train and coach employees on company policies, sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer experience.
Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and leadership.
