About The Position

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the day-to-day operations of the grocery store. You will be responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.

Requirements

  • Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality.
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives.
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) – three (3) years store manager experience
  • Five (5) years’ grocery or equivalent experience
  • ServeSafe certification or comparable and or the ability to complete with-in 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the product and services offered by the company.
  • Maintain a happy, full, fresh and clean sales floor department.
  • Ensuring all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability per department.
  • Follow company marketing plan and ensuring product freshness, minimal shrink while optimizing sales.
  • Communicating company, department and job specific information to all associates.
  • Adhering to departmental and store budgets in alignment with Fiscal Year projections.
  • Writing the yearly budget in accordance with sale projections, labor/staffing needs etc.
  • Completing weekly sales projection sheets.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, leadership meetings etc to ensure alignment on store growth and development.
  • Hiring appropriate team members to fill store needs for maximum customer service.
  • Ensure pricing is accurate and following allocated budget.
  • Maintain sales floor, preparation, equipment and storage areas that are clean, orderly and meeting company and health department standards at all times.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance work with vendors, equipment suppliers and technicians.
  • Ensure timely and consistent training for new hires, promotions, performance opportunities.
  • Serving as a coach and mentor to all team members; identifying and recommending teammates for higher levels of responsibility.
  • Recommend and perform corrective steps for below acceptable teammate behaviors on the job in the absence of management.
  • Schedule personnel to meet customer demands, while maintaining company budgets for all applicable departments.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
