The Associate Store Manager partners with the General Manager to ensure the store meets or exceeds sales and contest goals, while also meeting payroll goals. This role involves prioritizing, planning, and adjusting schedules to meet business objectives and holding the team accountable for achieving these goals. The Associate Store Manager is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline. They will train and motivate associates through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge, and assess performance, providing feedback, appraisals, and development plans. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience to achieve World Class Service standards, maintaining presence through effective floor management, and ensuring adequate staff coverage. The Associate Store Manager also maintains a safe work environment, ensures store standards (visuals, cleanliness, signage, safety) are met, and manages store operating procedures like inventory levels and cash control to minimize losses. They are responsible for ensuring the store adheres to company guidelines for opening and closing, monitors company assets through accurate inventory procedures, and ensures associates comply with all Company policies and procedures. Finally, they create and maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with the People First Philosophy.
