The Associate Store Manager partners with the General Manager to ensure the store meets or exceeds sales and contest goals. This role involves meeting payroll goals, prioritizing and planning schedules, and holding the team accountable for achieving objectives. The Associate Store Manager also plays a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline. They are responsible for training and motivating associates through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge, as well as assessing performance and providing feedback. A primary focus is ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience to achieve World Class Service standards. This includes maintaining a presence through effective floor management, ensuring adequate staff coverage, and maintaining a safe work environment with ongoing safety training. The role also involves managing store operating procedures such as inventory levels and cash control to minimize losses, ensuring compliance with opening and closing procedures, and monitoring company assets through accurate inventory management. A key aspect is creating and maintaining an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with the People First Philosophy.
