About The Position

This role involves managing all aspects of a retail thrift store, including staffing, donation processing and pricing, sales floor presentation, and administrative oversight. The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the store operates efficiently and meets performance goals while providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• Customer service skills.
• Experience supervising and hiring staff.
• Computer skills, including email, intranet, metrics applications for data entry, Microsoft Word, webinar/conference call, etc.
• Budget management and tracking.
• Leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Able to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with staff and customers.
• Able to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
• Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods.
• Tolerant to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Have reliable transportation, a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
• Pass DMV check.
• Completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage store logistics, inventory, and store performance/goals.
• Manage the entire donated goods process: from donation door to production area to sales floor to preparation for outlet/recycling.
• Merchandise sales floor.
• Oversee production and pricing of donated merchandise.
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Oversee the store management team and supervise daily operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and terminate staff.
• Work as a team to meet budget and production goals.
• Ensure adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Provide regular and accurate reporting to human resources, asset protection, safety, finance, and other departments.
• Complete required safety assessments.
• Oversee store budget, staffing, and goals.
