The Store Manager role is responsible for leading the retail team to achieve sales goals, manage store operations, and foster a positive customer and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Progressive retail leadership experience.
  • Proven skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, talk and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to type, reach overhead, and climb ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the retail team in achieving daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and meeting store financial plans.
  • Assess and strategize to drive performance goals (Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other KPIs).
  • Utilize company tools and resources to assess business performance and develop action plans.
  • Recruit, hire, and make pay and termination decisions for all store personnel.
  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and ensuring adherence to operational policies.
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for new hires on company culture, product knowledge, and selling techniques.
  • Coach staff to enhance their knowledge and provide opportunities for continued development, including creating succession plans.
  • Achieve payroll plan by managing store schedules and monitoring labor costs.
  • Ensure sound inventory management through accurate receiving and sending of merchandise, and adherence to business directives.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates on customer service, monitoring daily store activity, and ensuring policy compliance.
  • Perform store visual standards according to visual merchandising direction, ensuring compelling product presentation.
  • Make decisions and adaptations to visual merchandising direction based on store layout and needs.
  • Maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor through planning and directing floor replenishment.
  • Create a compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling appropriate selling and service behaviors.
  • Build relationships naturally, embrace individuality, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the store team and Home Office on building connections with the local community and executing events.
  • Act as a brand ambassador embodying and cultivating the company’s core values.
