Requirements

  • Progressive retail leadership experience.
  • Proven skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, talk and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to type, reach overhead, and climb ladders.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the retail team in achieving daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and meeting store financial plans through strong decision-making, focusing on driving employee engagement and a collaborative selling environment.
  • Assesses and strategizes to drive performance goals (Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other measurable KPIs).
  • Utilizes company tools and resources to assess the business and implement plans to celebrate wins and address areas of opportunity.
  • Recruits, hires, manages pay, and makes termination decisions for all store personnel, including store management.
  • Manages employee relations, including coaching and conflict resolution, ensuring adherence to Beyond Yoga and LS&CO Operational Excellence policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates onboarding and training for new hires on Beyond Yoga culture, product knowledge, selling culture, and other responsibilities.
  • Coaches staff to increase their knowledge, providing opportunities for continued development and creating succession plans for associates.
  • Achieves payroll plan by managing store schedules, monitoring labor costs, and adapting to business conditions based on sales.
  • Plans payroll/scheduling based on store traffic to ensure adequate staffing for customer assistance.
  • Ensures sound inventory management through accurate receiving and sending of merchandise, completing business directives like price changes and ticketing.
  • Prevents loss by educating associates on customer service, monitoring daily store activity, ensuring policy adherence, and partnering with the Home Office.
  • Performs store visual standards following merchandising direction, accomplishing product presentation.
  • Makes decisions and adaptations to visual merchandising based on store layout and needs, ensuring product displays are compelling and tell a story through styling.
  • Maintains appropriate product levels on the sales floor by planning and directing floor replenishment.
  • Creates a compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling appropriate selling and service behaviors to associates.
  • Builds relationships naturally, embraces individuality, and fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborates with the store team and Home Office on building local community connections and executing events to drive brand engagement.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador embodying and cultivating the company’s core values.
