As a Store Manager for Laline, you will be a charismatic leader with exceptional service and sales acumen, reporting to the Area Manager. Your primary role is to drive the growth and awareness of the Laline brand within your store and local market. You will be responsible for creating a highly productive store environment that exceeds customer expectations and provides an engaging, inclusive atmosphere where employees are motivated and supported. Requirements

  • Experience in retail store leadership
  • Understanding of local market and requirements relevant to new store openings
  • Financial management experience with success in driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a history of attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining talent
  • Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Driving revenue and exceeding targets by reviewing and monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly business and people results, and creating plans with the Area Manager to achieve targets.
  • Fostering a culture of performance, cost awareness, and accountability within the team, and developing business acumen for analyzing results and implementing improvements.
  • Managing the store's expenses and seeking opportunities to minimize costs.
  • Mitigating risks within the store, identifying and resolving gaps or roadblocks to profitability, and protecting assets from internal and external theft, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Ensuring the right people are in the right positions at the right time and in the right quantities within the store.
  • Sourcing and selecting talent to build the necessary infrastructure for a scaling business.
  • Successfully integrating and onboarding new talent into the store.
  • Building healthy relationships with staff and establishing a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Continuously developing the team for succession within the organization.
  • Setting expectations and managing team performance to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Conducting regular assessments of staff against performance review criteria and KPIs.
  • Leading by example to ensure the quality of the in-store customer experience, including communicating, training, and upholding service expectations, and performing professional product demonstrations.
  • Providing in-store feedback and coaching to staff and the Assistant Store Manager to build skills and confidence in customer service and product knowledge.
  • Identifying opportunities to build and maintain relationships within local communities to drive brand awareness.
  • Representing the brand professionally both inside and outside the company.
  • Driving the culture and values of the organization in all aspects of the business.
  • Supporting and executing visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
  • Building brand loyalty through the membership program and driving future business.
  • Identifying opportunities for marketing initiatives to drive new and repeat clients and community engagement at the store level.
  • Ensuring operational, brand, and product standards are met daily, and that teams are clear on their expectations and roles.
  • Identifying and escalating opportunities, gaps, risks, and roadblocks with urgency, and partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Ensuring standard operational policies and procedures are followed, including health & safety, store maintenance, cleaning & replenishment, inventory management, and cash systems.
  • Building optimal schedules for the store and team to meet customer expectations and sales targets efficiently and effectively.
