About The Position

Leevers Supermarkets is seeking a passionate Store Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the store achieves operational standards, maximizing sales and profits, and creating a satisfying shopping experience for customers. The Store Manager will lead hiring, training, coaching, and developing employees, while also directing effective safety, security, and sanitation programs. Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations is crucial. As an employee owner, you will contribute to improving the lives of your colleagues and neighbors.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic experience with electronic technology and communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment
  • Must be able to think broadly to resolve issues and understand key business strategies, deliverables, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and managing the Profit and Loss Statement to maximize profits through increasing sales, understanding gross profit, and minimizing expenses.
  • Ensuring the store operates according to company standards, maximizing sales and profits.
  • Providing leadership for excellent daily store conditions, including produce/meat department operations, Food Safety, safety policies (e.g., power equipment operation), and sanitation standards.
  • Managing expense control and all company assets, including shrink control, payroll, productivity measurements, and product/supply ordering.
  • Selecting, staffing, coaching, and developing store associates, creating a positive store environment through effective communication, hiring, training, coaching, developing, and progressive disciplinary actions.
  • Overseeing the Leevers hiring process with assistant store managers, including phone screens, panel interviews, reference checks, and hiring recommendations.
  • Setting and executing work priorities and directing task assignments, including product ordering, store meetings, and register key usage.
  • Training, coaching, and developing all associates according to Leevers operational standards.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service practices throughout the store and direct involvement as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, well-stocked, and friendly store that meets Leevers operational standards.
  • Executing merchandising programs and visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout, plan-o-grams, displays, price signs/tags, and COOL signage. Managing inventory levels, quality, freshness, and rotation practices to meet food safety standards.
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with all Leevers policies and procedures, including accounting, cash handling, inventory, loss prevention, payroll, sanitation, food safety, and HR communication.
  • Acquiring Food Safety Certification in accordance with Leevers policies and City/State requirements.
  • Protecting company property, funds, and merchandise.
  • Complying with all City, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Completing other assigned assignments and duties, such as produce accountability.
  • Ensuring prompt response to after-hours alarm notifications.
