Store Manager - Wilmington

About The Position

As Store Manager, you will grow the company brand by delivering best-in-class service and bringing to life a distinctive world of adult beverages and more for customers. You will manage store operations and build a sales and service culture to expand the customer base and maximize profitability. The role is internally titled Store Manager and reports to the District Manager. The position requires a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends, and involves physical work such as standing for extended periods, handling cases and pallets, and lifting up to 50 pounds overhead. The role may also involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions during the workday.

Requirements

At least 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.
Experience leading, developing, and motivating a sales-focused team.
Experience managing overall financial performance.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and remain on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
Big box retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
Recruit, train, and manage the store team, including ongoing development and disciplinary action.
Manage day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues.
Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
