About The Position

The Store Manager is responsible for the management of all employees and the effective planning and implementation of all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing, and support. This role ensures the store operates according to company policies, maintains financial integrity, and provides superior customer service leadership.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, and operating manuals
Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages
Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control
Ability to perform cash register functions
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and termination practices
Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies
Good organization skills with attention to detail
Ability to solve problems
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of management experience in a retail environment

Responsibilities

Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies
Provides proper training for employees and conducts performance evaluations
Identifies performance gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling
Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement
Communicates performance, conduct, and safety expectations regularly
Coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security, and policies
Ensures the store is properly staffed and effectively opened and closed each day
Opens the store a minimum of two times per week and closes the store a minimum of two times per week
Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends
Orders to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets
Reviews ordering plan, seasonal direction, and inventory management issues on a weekly basis
Facilitates the efficient staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise
Ensures merchandise is presented according to established practices and utilizes fixtures properly
Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls
Ensures financial integrity of the store through cashier accountability and key control
Provides superior customer service leadership
Maintains a clean, well-organized, safe, and secure store environment
Ensures the store is adequately equipped with tools necessary to perform tasks
Follows and ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures
Completes all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines
