About The Position

Every store manager is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the store within company policy and the local laws in such a manner as to ensure that the store is profitable. Store Managers also must maintain the highest level of customer service.

  • Taking all store deposits to the bank daily, including weekends
  • Ensuring sufficient change is available for all operating hours
  • Sending all required documents to store analysts
  • Treating all associates with dignity and respect
  • Using proper personnel management techniques
  • Ensuring all associates receive breaks
  • Advising division manager of personnel situations or policy violations
  • Committing to all training programs
  • Ensuring associates properly record all hours worked (no work off the clock policy)
  • Providing an environment free of harassment or hostile conditions
  • Compliance with the Company’s Responsible Retailing policy
  • Ensuring associates receive ongoing training and development
  • Recording hours worked in the workstation
  • Ensuring all associate cash handling procedures are followed
  • Ensuring security video surveillance equipment is in working order
  • Ensuring a safe shopping and working environment
  • Protecting all company assets, including cash and merchandise
  • Following vendor check-in procedures per company policy
  • Ensuring cash is only kept in the safe, cash register, or bank
  • Posting all promotional signs on the date assigned
  • Using current plan-o-grams
  • Communicating with the District Manager for any special needs or requests
  • Properly sending merchandise orders to prevent out-of-stocks
  • Maintaining inventory levels as directed
  • Working with DSD vendors to ensure 100% in-stock product
  • Monitoring inventory levels and communicating with the Division Manager to prevent out-of-stocks
  • Keeping all food service areas clean and following all sanitation procedures
  • Keeping floors clean and maintained
  • Reporting maintenance problems to the Hucks Solution Center via the Intranet
  • Ensuring all equipment is in working order
  • Proper use of ladders
  • Following lifting procedures per company policy
  • Using wet floor signs and floor dryers per company policy
  • Promptly reporting accidents to District Manager and corporate office
  • Reporting all work-related injuries
  • Complying with UST (Underground Storage Tank) procedures to meet EPA regulations

  • Ensures that lifting procedures are followed per company policy
  • Ensures that wet floor signs and floor dryers are used, per company policy
  • Reports accidents promptly to District Manager and corporate office
  • Reports all work-related injuries
