The Store Manager leads the day-to-day operations of a single Zales Outlet store, reporting to the District Manager. The role is accountable for sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team-member growth and development. Through personal selling, leadership, and coaching, the manager fosters a People First environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, builds lasting customer relationships, and delivers a best-in-class customer experience. The manager communicates performance expectations and company initiatives, coaches staff on brand representation and store execution, and leads the team in achieving sales goals. The position also requires maintaining store cleanliness, following company policies, responding to management directives, and controlling discounting, expenses, payroll, and repair departments to improve sales performance and profit margins. The schedule should generally target five days and 40 hours per week during non-peak periods, with opening and closing shifts scheduled according to store needs. Hours increase during peak selling periods. The role regularly includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours, and may require travel to training sessions and business meetings, including air and overnight travel.
