About The Position

The Store Manager’s primary goal is to improve sales and create a positive guest experience. Working with the Area Manager, the Store Manager oversees inventory management and control, supports team members, and develops product knowledge, upsell tactics, and data analytics to improve overall store performance. The role includes training, developing, and aligning up to 25 or more team members; working with marketing and procurement teams to promote sales and increase revenue; controlling shrinkage and aging or expiring inventory; and understanding Michigan compliance requirements for state inspections.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background with large teams; cannabis leadership experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Improve sales consistently month over month and create a positive guest experience.
• Train, develop, and align up to 25 or more team members.
• Educate the team on expected sales metrics, product knowledge, and upsell tactics.
• Work with marketing and procurement teams to promote sales and increase revenue.
• Manage inventory and inventory par levels, improve sell-through, and reduce shrinkage, aging inventory, and product expirations.
• Understand Michigan compliance requirements and prepare for state inspections while reducing deficiencies.
• Use data analytics to improve overall store performance.
• Supervise Assistant Store Managers when applicable, Retail Leads, Budtenders, and BOH Clerks.
