About The Position

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16-week, self-paced and collaborative program includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences, supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. SMITs develop leadership skills while supporting store operations, customer care, merchandising, inventory management, and store profitability. They are expected to participate actively in Key Learning Experiences, support the store as a member of the management team, and lead consistently with CVS values and policies. Candidates must be willing to accept a Store Manager promotion and transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores anywhere within their designated market.
