About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas. The position involves regular janitorial duties and requires adherence to safety and sanitation procedures. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is essential
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain floors (scrubbing, stripping, polishing, re-glossing)
• Operate scrub and buffing machines
• Empty trash inside and outside the store
• Clean windows
• Clean break rooms, restrooms, and manager’s office
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures
• Prepare linens for laundry pick-up
• Change light bulbs
