About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas. The position requires adherence to safety and sanitation procedures and may involve additional duties as assigned by management. Training will be provided at the store level.
Requirements
- 18 years or older to apply
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Bending
- Stooping
- Handling cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Maintain floors - consisting of scrubbing with appropriate pads and chemicals, stripping, polishing, and re-glossing
- Operation of scrub machine and buffing machine
- Empty trash inside and outside the store
- Clean windows
- Clean break rooms, restrooms, and manager’s office
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Prepare linens for laundry pick-up
- Change light bulbs
- Other duties will be assigned at the discretion of the store management
