About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a motivated Store Leader to be a foundational part of their growing Retail business. This role is similar to a Store Manager at other companies. The Store Leader is responsible for all aspects of a store's success, including building and leading a team of Managers, Opticians, and Advisors. They will focus on executing processes, creating exceptional customer experiences, and driving the team towards personal performance goals and company financial targets. The role also offers opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration through an annual Store Leader Summit. Previous retail management experience and strong leadership skills are essential for success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a management role at a complex customer-focused, operationally excellent retailer.
  • Established top-performer in previous roles.
  • Ability to build, coach, and retain a high-performing team that meets sales, operational, and financial performance goals.
  • Clear, honest, and empathetic communicator capable of making tough decisions.
  • Organized, entrepreneurial go-getter unafraid of taking calculated risks to deliver results.
  • Upbeat collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Curious and willing to question how things are done and how they could be done better.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and communicate Warby Parker's values and philosophy to customers and team members.
  • Execute and improve all operational activities to meet the store's financial targets and customer experience goals.
  • Consistently follow company-wide processes to maintain brand consistency.
  • Manage daily scheduling and payroll for the entire store team.
  • Coordinate store events with the Marketing team.
  • Implement existing procedures and create new ones to protect the company's inventory and assets.
  • Follow and enforce protocols to ensure risk management and safety.
  • Build and foster an engaged, effective team through recruitment, on-boarding, ongoing training, and development.
  • Lead biannual performance and development reviews for each store team member.
  • Exemplify great service by living and breathing Warby Parker's core values.
  • Create an inclusive workplace culture by treating all teammates and customers with respect.
  • Attend company leadership trainings, including the annual Store Leader Summit.
