Store Lead (Temporary)

Peak DesignTigard, OR
Onsite

About The Position

Peak Design is seeking a curious, grounded, and highly self-directed Store Lead to manage the daily operations of their Bridgeport Village store. This is a hands-on retail position where approximately 80% of the time will be dedicated to customer interaction, product demonstration, sales, and recommendations. The role requires comfort in independently managing the customer experience and store operations due to a small team size and potential for solo work. It is ideal for someone who enjoys independent work, customer engagement, and maintaining a well-run store, rather than traditional management of a large team. The responsibilities are divided into several key areas: Gear Expert and Customer Experience (80%): This involves welcoming customers, creating a positive shopping environment, understanding customer needs through questioning, demonstrating products, recommending solutions, building complete product sets, developing deep product knowledge, and working towards sales goals. Leadership and Team Support (5%): This includes acting as the decision-maker on duty, modeling company standards, providing real-time feedback and product education to colleagues, taking ownership of problems, and exercising sound judgment. Store Operations (10%): This encompasses opening and closing routines, inventory management (receiving, replenishing, organizing), maintaining store cleanliness and organization, completing daily tasks accurately, communicating issues, and identifying/solving problems independently. Visual Merchandising and Store Readiness (5%): This involves executing visual merchandising updates, maintaining displays, signage, pricing, ensuring correct placement of new products and campaign materials, and overall store presentation.
