About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The Store Environment Team Member will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping the store and finding what they need. This role involves collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and damp mopping floors, and moving equipment and products for proper cleaning and placement. The Team Member will clean assigned areas using provided materials and equipment, potentially mixing cleaning solutions. Deep cleaning of key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and high-traffic zones is required to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The role also includes maintaining cleaning equipment, notifying supervisors of supply needs, and taking initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks. All tasks must be performed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. The position requires maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, projecting a positive image, and serving as a role model. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in the Rewards program and credit card enrollments, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck unloads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.

Move equipment and products for cleaning and proper placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store (bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways, high traffic areas).
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly.
Notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
Execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
