About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The Store Environment Team Member will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping the store and finding what they need. This role also involves various cleaning duties, maintaining cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Additionally, the position requires maintaining positive interactions, projecting a positive image, and potentially assisting with checkout, Rewards program enrollments, Omni channel processes, truck un-loads, stocking, planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance.

Requirements

Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
Execute Company policies and standards.
