About The Position

The Store Detective is responsible for loss prevention by preventing and detecting theft in a retail store. The role involves observing and following shoppers or staff who behave suspiciously, gathering evidence from witnesses, writing short reports, and detaining anyone attempting to leave the store with stolen goods. The successful candidate must handle sensitive situations professionally.

The role requires a mixture of shifts, ranging from 09:00–17:00, 10:00–18:00, 11:00–19:00, 12:00–20:00, and 13:00–21:00. The candidate must be prepared to travel and have their own transport.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Experience as a Store Detective is essential.
• Must have an SIA licence.
• Must have a valid PSA licence.
• Must have a UK driving licence and a full clean driving licence.
• Must have own transport and be prepared to travel.
• A mature and responsible attitude to work.
• Good observational skills.
• Ability to use modern surveillance systems, such as CCTV and electronic tags.
