About The Position

As a Store Design Sr. Specialist, you'll help shape how customers experience Best Buy through the design of innovative store environments. You'll transform customer insights and business objectives into engaging retail experiences, collaborating across disciplines to solve complex design challenges and bring ideas to life. This is an opportunity to influence future store concepts and experiences while making a meaningful impact on our customers. This hybrid role requires working onsite Monday through Thursday at Best Buy's corporate office in Richfield, MN, with remote work available on Fridays.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of store design experience, or equivalent in a related design fields.
  • 3+ years using SketchUp, Enscape, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 2D/3D design tools.
  • 3+ years of Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ Retail industry experience with an understanding of shopping behaviors, merchandising, and store operations.
  • 2+ years developing fixture concepts and collaborating with suppliers or manufacturing partners.
  • 2+ years of designing retail, branded, or experiential environments.
  • 2+ years managing multiple projects and applying material and finish considerations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine innovative store concepts and environments through final design approval.
  • Develop fixture concepts and partner with suppliers to evolve designs and maintain design intent.
  • Transform customer insights and business objectives into retail design solutions.
  • Manage multiple design projects while balancing priorities and feedback.
  • Shape future store concepts, design standards, and customer experiences through innovation and problem solving.
