About The Position

Performs accurate and efficient register transactions and assists with receiving, stocking, and display of grocery products, maintains department cleanliness, and provides customer service. Concord Food Co-op is a natural foods grocery store, bakery, and café with locations in Concord, NH and New London, NH. A pillar of Main St., the Co-op strives to support and enhance the New Hampshire community by only stocking ethically-sourced natural foods and through positive cooperative action in-store and in the community.

Requirements

Good customer service skills for both internal and external customers
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to take direction and work independently
Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills
Willing to learn or improve on current skills
Standing for long periods, bending, walking, reaching, and sitting
Ability to climb up and down stepladders and stairs daily
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day
Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Grocery or natural foods experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Performs accurate and efficient register transactions
Assists with receiving, stocking, and display of grocery products
Maintains department cleanliness
Provides customer service
Accept payment and accurately make change for transactions utilizing the POS system
Enter correct prices, departments, and PLUs for products
Balance cash draw at end of shift and meet over/short goal
Invites/recruits non-member customers to become members of the Co-op
Follow state laws and Co-op policies regarding the sale of alcohol
Assisting customers with product questions in a friendly, courteous manner and answers/directs calls as necessary
Facing and organizing shelves, end caps, and sale displays
Keeping departmental shelves and display areas stocked, neat, clean, and product(s) rotated
Always presenting self and Co-op in a professional manner
Assists in special projects, assists in other departments as needed, and performs other duties as assigned
